Get to Know Dr. Brittany Woodard

For Dr. Woodard, nothing is better than getting to use her skills, creativity, and knowledge to help patients with their various dental needs. It’s an extremely rewarding feeling being able to get someone out of pain, improve their self-esteem, or enable them to become the best version of themselves. Before you meet her in person, you can learn a little more about Dr. Woodard below.

Why Did You Want to Become a Dentist?

Dr. Woodard comes from a dental family—her father, grandfather, and grandmother were all involved in the dental profession. She decided to become a dentist after spending a summer working in her father's practice, who just so happens to be Dr. Brian Woodard, the original owner of Park Street Dental! After seeing how he interacted with his patients, applied medical knowledge, and used his creative approach during treatment planning, she knew that she could see herself following in his footsteps and enjoying this rewarding profession.

Where Did You Study Dentistry?

Before becoming a dentist, Dr. Woodard worked as a dental assistant for eight years throughout college and dental school. She became licensed to take X-rays, learned chairside assisting, made impressions, assisted with orthodontic treatment, and created study models. These experiences provided a helpful and engaging way to learn about dentistry in "real-life" while in school. She went on to earn her undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee before obtaining her dental degree from The Ohio State University.

Today, Dr. Woodard is a member of multiple professional organizations, including the:

  • American Dental Association
  • Ohio Dental Association
  • Stark County Dental Association
  • Columbus Dental Society

Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?

One of Dr. Woodard’s biggest passions outside of dentistry is being an equestrian. She began riding at age five and showed many quarter horses all over the country in her teen years. After high school, she received a scholarship to ride on the University of Tennessee's Equestrian Team. When she’s not working, you'll most likely find her relaxing with her fiancé and their two cats. Her other hobbies include reading, baking delicious treats, and renovating her century-old home.
